When you do not know what to do, read these wise lessons left by Confucius. Confucius, whose real name was Kung-tzu or Kun-Qiu, was a Chinese philosopher, teacher, and thinker.
His teachings have had such a great influence on society, that many of his statements are still an example for others.
It was he who adhered to the well-known principle: ” Do not do to another what you do not wish for yourself .” Confucius possessed incredible wisdom regarding how to live a happy and fulfilling life.
Here are some of his most famous life lessons.
1. You have to pay for all the good
“ It is easy to hate and hard to love. So much is arranged in life. Good things are hard to get, and bad things are much easier . ”
Try not to dwell on the negative aspects of any situation. Be open to positive ideas, because this is how you can think about solving a problem. Be patient, waiting for the good to happen, or when trying to reach a goal.
2. The choice of friends is important.
“ Never make friendship with someone who is no better than you .”
The people with whom you surround yourself influence the development of your personality. They play a crucial role in building your happiness and help you make important decisions.
We cannot choose our family, but we can choose friends, so do not surround yourself with hypocritical people who stay with you just for the sake of profit. Be with those who make you better and inspire you for more.
3. Keep going and don’t give up
“ It doesn’t matter how slow you go until you stop .”
If you are tired, learn to relax, not stop halfway. Your perseverance is needed to achieve your goals.
Keep moving, and if you need help, just ask other people for help. Do not be afraid to contact your close friends or family members, as their point of view can help you much more than you think.
4. Leave the past in the past
” There is nothing wrong with you making a mistake if you do not continue to remember this .”
We were all once offended or received unfairly, but if we continue to hold on to the past, we will not be able to appreciate the good that comes into our lives.
If you are offended, try to learn from it. Do not cause suffering to others. A broken man continues to break others, and this shatters our world.
Do no harm to others and find ways to heal in a healthy way.
Sayings of Confucius
5. Give all or nothing
” Whatever you do, do it with all your heart .”
If you do something without a lot of interest, you can just leave this thing and go to sleep. Do your best in work, in relationships and in hobbies. The careless attitude is not very attractive and does not bring you any benefit.
6. Control your character
“ When anger arises, think of the consequences .”
We often say or do something in a hurry, which we regret later. When you are angry with something or someone, think about the consequences. In any dispute, there is a pause, and if you are smart enough, you can turn it to your advantage. Don’t let anger ruin everything.
7. Make changes
” When it becomes obvious that the goal cannot be achieved, do not correct the goals, correct the actions .”
If you cannot find a solution to the problem, try other methods. Do not try to change things for your convenience. Change your approach.
8. We can all learn from each other.
“ If I go with two people, each of them will be a teacher for me. I will imitate the good features of one and correct the shortcomings of the other . ”
From everyone you meet in your life, you will get a lesson. A person’s experience, his sufferings and achievements is an opportunity to learn something for oneself.
